Create an account
Free, about a minute. The same account signs you in to the game, the launcher and this site.

Download the launcher
A small Windows installer, not the whole game. If a checksum is shown below, compare it before you run the file.

Install and let it patch
If your antivirus quarantines game files, add the game folder to its exclusions first. On first run the launcher downloads the full client (about 6 GB) and checks every file; after that it only fetches what changed.

Sign in and make a character
Log in from the launcher and press Play. You choose a race when you create a character in the game, and it cannot be changed later.

What exactly am I downloading?
The Raiden Launcher: a small Windows program. It downloads and patches the full client (about 6 GB) for you, checks every file, and keeps the game up to date each time you open it.
Will my old RF account work?
No. RF Raiden has its own accounts. Registering is free.
Mac or Linux?
The launcher and the game are Windows programs. There is no Mac or Linux build.
The download is slow or stopped
Open the launcher again: it picks the download up where it stopped and re-checks the files.
The game crashes or files are damaged
Open the launcher's options and choose Repair Client. It re-checks the install and restores any file that does not match.
My antivirus deleted a game file
Add the game folder to the antivirus exclusions (Windows Security: Virus & threat protection → Manage settings → Exclusions → Add folder), then run Repair Client.
Black screen or a tiny window on a high-resolution display
Right-click the game executable → Properties → Compatibility → Change high DPI settings → tick “Override high DPI scaling behavior” and choose Application.
